Altrusa Interntional, Inc. of Nanaimo, British Columbia, Canada presented a local elementary school with 47 dozen home baked muffins for the children as part of their 'Feed A Reader' project for Make A Difference Day.

Members from Altrusa International, Inc. of Salem, Oregon had some fun spreading the word about “Altrusa” by walking in the Dallas (Oregon) Summerfest Parade. Altrusa brochures and candy were passed out along the parade route. One member and her husband decorate their antique car to be a part of the Altrusa presentation.

Members of the Saginaw, Michigan Club showed off hand puppets during a special tour of the Mid-Michigan Children's Museum. The Mid-Michigan Children's Museum opened Sunday, June 1, 2008. During the planning and construction phase, Saginaw Altrusans set aside money each budget year to assist with a special project. The Club has plans to maintain the puppets and books as an ongoing service endeavor.
