Montgomery County, Maryland club collected over 2,000 books for our Make a Difference Day project for the Friends of Montgomery County Public Library Used Book Store. The recently opened in the county and needed used books. All hands were on deck, the club had 90% participation.

Members of the Saginaw, Michigan Club showed off hand puppets during a special tour of the Mid-Michigan Children's Museum. The Mid-Michigan Children's Museum opened June 1, 2008. During the planning and construction phase, Saginaw Altrusans set aside money each budget year to assist with a special project. The Club has plans to maintain the puppets and books as an ongoing service endeavor.

Altrusa International, Inc. of San Diego, California celebrated World Peace Day by sending handwritten letters and cards to the Wellsprings School in Zambia.
